In 2004 we are witnessing the events at 10th anniversary of international year of the family.

Ministry for work, family and social affairs in Republic of Slovenia has announced public official invitation for tenders to finance the programs in connection to that event. Institute for Parenthood and Family is participating with a program also financed from that source.

The program is available to all interested groups and organizations and is organized in cooperation with each interested party. It comprises up to date facts related to important subjects and solutions to the problems of a modern family in Europe and the world, which are presented in the following way:

• family as a successful company,
• consideration of parents and underage citizens in the legislation,
• a cause for low fertility in European countries,
• basis for current and future valuation of parenthood and family,
• physical and financial valuation of low fertility,
• legal rights of parents in democracy,
• importance of parenthood for economic and political stability of a welfare state
• parenthood as a remunerative activity,
• and all other subjects that are important for the happiness of a family of parents and their children.
